Wedding flowers in Tampa
Wedding flowers are a design job before they're a flower job: your venue, your season, your colors and your budget decide what will look right and still be standing at the end of the night. That conversation comes first, and the proposal comes with a price.
What wedding flowers cover
- Bridal bouquet, bridesmaids' bouquets and toss bouquet
- Boutonnieres and corsages for the wedding party and family
- Ceremony flowers: arch, chuppah, aisle markers and altar pieces
- Reception centerpieces, head table and cake flowers
- Larger installations and hanging pieces
- Flower crowns, petals and flower-girl baskets

How wedding flowers come together
- A planning call. Date, venue, guest count, colors, inspiration photos and a budget range. Most couples book six to twelve months out, but shorter timelines work too.
- A proposal with prices. An itemized list of every piece, the flowers proposed for each, and the price, so you can add and cut before anything is committed.
- Final count and details. Numbers are confirmed a few weeks before the wedding, when the guest count and the table plan are settled.
- Delivery and setup. Personal flowers go to the getting-ready location, the ceremony and reception are set up with the venue, and pieces are moved between them if the plan calls for it.
What affects the price
- The number of pieces, which is mostly driven by guest count and table count.
- Flowers chosen. Garden roses, peonies and orchids cost more than spray roses, stock and greenery.
- Size and complexity of ceremony pieces and installations.
- Setup, teardown and moving pieces between ceremony and reception.
- Season. Flowers cost more around Valentine's Day and Mother's Day.
You get the price for your order before anything is made or delivered.
Wedding flowers and the Tampa climate
Most Tampa Bay weddings have an outdoor piece, whether that's a lawn ceremony on Bayshore, a beach ceremony in Clearwater or a cocktail hour on a rooftop downtown. From May through October that means heat and humidity that collapse hydrangea, peonies and garden roses within an hour. Orchids, roses, anthurium, lisianthus and tropical foliage hold up, and a good designer builds the outdoor pieces from those and saves the delicate flowers for inside.
Afternoon storms are the other variable. Ceremony pieces are built to move to the rain plan, and setup is timed so flowers aren't sitting in the sun for hours before guests arrive.
Common questions
How far ahead should I book?
Six to twelve months is typical for a full wedding, especially for spring and fall Saturdays. Smaller weddings and elopements can often be booked with a few weeks' notice.
Is there a minimum?
Full-service weddings with setup usually have a minimum. Elopements and small weddings can order personal flowers and a ceremony piece without one. Ask on the planning call.
Can you match my colors and photos?
Yes. Inspiration photos are the best way to start. The designer will tell you which flowers in them are in season for your date and what to substitute if they aren't.
Do you work with my venue and planner?
Yes. Setup times, load-in and what the venue allows for installations are confirmed with them directly.
